Mini-symposiaCall for mini-symposia for the JMC 2026 Since 1988, the Journées de la Matière Condensée (JMC) have been organized every even-numbered year by the Condensed Matter Physics Division (DMC) of the French Physics Society. The topics covered encompass all areas of condensed matter physics, from concepts to applications and often interfaces with other disciplines. The success of these conferences makes them the largest national congress on condensed matter physics in France, with more than 550 participants. To ensure the success of the next JMC, we invite you to propose a mini-symposium in your area of expertise. A mini-symposium may consist of a few invited presentations and several shorter presentations. Presentations by young researchers are encouraged. A mini-symposium is an excellent opportunity to organize a scientific meeting in your field of activity without having to worry about logistical constraints, which are the responsibility of the local organizers. This means you can focus solely on preparing the scientific program. A mini-symposium is expected to attract between several dozen and a hundred participants. It is therefore essential to choose a topic that is broad enough, relevant to other topics, and interesting in an international context. A mini-symposium can be proposed by several organizers, but it is preferable to designate one main organizer. You can submit your proposals, which will be evaluated by the JMC 2026 organizing committee and the office of the Condensed Matter Division of the SFP. Please specify: a proposed title, the DMC theme, the name(s) of the organizer(s), and a few lines of motivation/description. We are counting on you to make JMC 2026 in Toulouse a great success!
